wildefan found a list of
the top 100 most succesful gay-themed movies. I don't know most of them, but those I do are some of my favourites.
Six Degrees Of Separation. (number 38) (awesome lines, only one gay scene - who'd've thought Will Smith-??)
Alexander. (number 11) (Alexander/Hephaestion -> same I talked about in November/December. Really, really sexy)
Brokeback Mountain. (number 7) (will be in the cinema here on 16 February)
The Talented Mr. Ripley. (number 3) (the last scene - the last few seconds of it - were of the kind I could not forget)
Interview With The Vampire. (number 2) (not great compared to the books - a lot was changed - but I do love it. Oh yes, how I love it)
I'm a little disappointed that Le Temps Qui Reste isn't in this list- it's one of the most intense, intimate, beautiful movies I've ever seen. I can't describe it with words. It wasn't a gay love story (neither was Alexander, nor Six Degrees of Separation, not even Interview and Ripley) but the protagonist was gay and it was done very impressively. Even if I didn't like homosexuality I'd have loved this movie.
Oh, there's a second page of succesful gay-themed movies too, I just saw. Don't know any of them, though.
