I dropped by the one act rehearsal tonight. I can't believe they open next week... we were always a little behind, but not THAT behind. They also have to compete in division 1, so I’m sorry to say, I do believe the legacy we left behind, will not be carried out. That’s going to be really rough on Wiley I think. Although, it probably won’t come as much of a shock, I think he started the whole thing with extremely low expectations. They have a very inexperienced cast this year. I feel really bad that his senior year didn’t have better results; he is truly an amazing actor. Wonderful to work with (if you can stand far enough away from him to not receive the saliva shower, hehe) the whole thing, being there, was very surreal. Not bad, not good, just odd. They’re doing a play we thought about doing a zillion times, but I think I’m glad we didn’t. it seemed so low key after some of the shows we did. Which I guess is good considering the lack of tech people, and the new actors.
I miss daryl a lot, which is ridiculous because she lives right up the street. It’s odd how easily I loose touch with people. We of course talked about mike. I guess he's thinking about leaving Glasgow, he loves Scotland, but doesn’t think the program is right for him. I think he should come to Boston. Boston seems like a very mike town. I guess he's contemplating going to RISD, which is where he intended to go in the first place. I think mike should do whatever makes him happy, which is more then likely what he’ll do. She always worries that he's not going to get done what he needs too, but mike is the most efficient "get it done" person I know. I think she has such high hopes and expectations that she cant see how successful and amazing he really is. It’s truly a shame. They’re both great people, but their relationship continues to deteriorate because they can’t see the good in the other. I’m not entirely sure where Simon falls in the whole situation. How did one family end up with 3 amazing people? Must be in the genes. Hehe.
The rest of this week is going to be odd, good, but odd. dave, rusty and bob are gone for the rest of the week, so I don’t have to worry about them popping in at inconvenient times. It seems weird to not have Dave there. Leah came down from Belfast, and is kind of taking Daves place. Thank god. If she hadn’t I would be working 10 hour days, and then Saturday as well, no good.
I started chris’ hat last night. It looks really good so far. I hope two things 1) that it comes out well and 2) that he likes it. *crosses fingers*
