UGH joss whedon. he makes me so mad...he just ruins everything. what happens in after the fall? I started reading bs8 but got pissy and stopped it was so ridiculous.
Basically, LA gets sucked down into a hell dimension. Angel becomes human, but he can't fight all the baddies because he doesn't have any powers. But he does have a dragon (he didn't slay the one in Not Fade Away). Gunn gets changed into a vampire and Wesley becomes the new liaison for wolfram and hart.
Ilyria gets her powers back and pretty much goes on a rampage. Lorne becomes kind of a guardian of this lake where he lives with grusalugg (? that guy Cordy was supposed to mate with when she went to Lorne's world). Spike pretends to be evil, but is really smuggling people out of the Dimension with Nina (who is a bit more feral because of the constant darkness but is completely becoming a werewolf), Gwen and Connor.
A bunch of shit happens and Angel is able to convince the senior partners to restore him to life after he was killed. This sets everything back to rights in the final battle at the end of the series and he saves the world.
