Title: Request Granted
Pairing: Angeal/Zack/Cloud
Warnings: Nothing really, just Genesis...
Notes: I have decided that that I have been writing too much sex. Which is fine, but I decided to do something fluffy(ish)
Angeal knew, even before he was fully awake, that someone was watching him.
It was not a feeling he was unaccustomed to. After all he had two younger lovers, who had a lot more energy than his older self.
He smirked as he could practically feel Zack smack him upside the head for thinking that.
He was used to waking to find Zack staring at him impatiently, wanting to do something. Or Cloud staring at him imploringly, desperate for more cuddling.
But, he could feel the smaller body of Zack, and the even smaller body of Cloud curled up tightly to either of his sides. They were in Angeal’s room in the SOLDIER barracks, resting in the king sized bed. It was the only expensive thing the burly man had allowed himself to indulge in. Both Cloud’s and Zack’s breathing was even, indicating they were asleep. So why the hell...
He cracked open one eye. Only to close it with a resigned sigh.
Genesis was straddling a chair at the foot of the bed, watching them with one hand resting underneath his chin. He had a rare grin on his face.
“Angeal, my dear friend. You never told me you were starting up an animal pound. What with your puppy and kitten and all.”
Angeal glared at him, unable to do anything without waking Zack and Cloud up.
The auburn haired man grinned, letting his eyes drift over the two undeniable lumps underneath the blanket. Angeal’s glare intensified.
“And you’re the big, bad wolf.”
He was damn near trying to blow his friend’s head off now.
“Can I adopt one?”
That was it. With a move that only the practiced could accomplish, Angeal surged upward and threw a pillow at Genesis. The SOLDIER dodged it, letting out a musical sounding laugh as he ran out of the room. Angeal settled back down on the bed, having barely disturbed the two smaller bodies. He had one terrifying moment when Cloud stirred in his sleep. But the blond teen just made an adorable noise of contentment and latched on to his arm. Angeal let out the breath he hadn’t realize he had been holding.
“I never knew you could be soft.”
Angeal smiled, “hello Sephiroth.”
The general stepped inside the bedroom, curiously studying where Zack and Cloud were sleeping. Something in his eyes changed, making Angeal tense. “As Chief Commander of Shinra, you know I can’t condone any sort of special treatment that might make any candidates become undisciplined.” Angeal opened his mouth to protest, to say that Sephiroth was being unfair. Zack and Cloud were two of the most promising candidates out there, something he could say even without the obvious bias. But the silver haired man held up his hand. “But, as your friend, I have to say...” He paused, something akin to amusement lighting up his eyes. “I’m glad to see you happy.”
There was a snort from the other room. “Oh, he’s happy alright.”
Sephiroth rolled his eyes. “And I’ll also say this: I’ll worry about Genesis. You protect them from everything else.” With that said, he strode out of the room as quietly as he had arrived.
Angeal smiled with a shake of his head. Sephiroth knew how ridiculous of a request that was in world like Shinra. But still, he intended to honour it. “I will. I promise.”
