Bellamy is releasing Cryosleep NFTs

Well, it was only a matter of time... I *knew* he'd jump on this bandwagon.

I want the Guiding Light one so bad. But on the other hand, I still don't trust the notion of NFTs and think they're ridiculous. I'm sure it'll sell for some obscene amount I couldn't afford anyway...

---

This coming Friday, the day before Cryosleep releases on Record Store Day 7/17, Bellamy is auctioning off three exclusive NFTs with the company Cryptograph. Proceeds will support charity The Passage in the UK.

Clips are posted on each page. They appear to be the same videos as released before for the singles (except for Guiding Light being brand new - Jeff's guitar floating around in zero gravity omg I'm crying), but with additional animation. Tomorrow's World seems to be exclusively an instrumental though?? And I'm not sure if there are any vocals for Guiding Light, but it seems just instrumental as well. (And omg, the tone of that guitar is <3 <3 <3).

Guiding Light (On Jeff's Guitar)

The inception of the album came to Bellamy while in isolation during the COVID-19 quarantine. This unlikely source of inspiration lent itself to ethereal themes of a future of isolation and desolation. Pannier and his surreal intergalactic worlds brought the celestial aesthetics whilst Perry Cooper animates the scene in his whimsical artistry bringing it to life. On the song “Guiding Light (on Jeff’s Guitar)" Bellamy plays a 1983 Fender Telecaster - the guitar used by the late virtuoso Jeff Buckley on his famed album, ‘Grace.’ Bellamy says the guitar elicits a sound the likes of which he’s never heard before - a sound which will now forever be immortalized in the form of an NFT.

Tomorrow's World

The inception of the album came to Bellamy while in isolation during the COVID-19 quarantine. This unlikely source of inspiration lent itself to ethereal themes of a future of isolation and desolation which the artists Leo Sannas and Charlotte Risch help to bring to life with their unique styles. The concept begins with Bellamy emerging from a cryo-chamber while aboard a vessel afloat in space. He proceeds to depart the ship in an astronaut suit and escapes to another world - Tomorrow’s World. In a hauntingly visceral fashion, this transportive piece beautifully navigates the physical and sonic landscapes of the intergalactic frontier.

[SO THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE MATT ON THE COVER WHAT and omg I love the concept]

Unintended (Piano Lullaby)

Brazilian 3D/2D artist Leo Sannas AKA “KAMUI” and Montreal-based animator Charlotte Risch who has created animations for many of the world’s top artists as well as working with Bellamy’s creative team for many years help to bring this masterful piece to life.

Well congrats to The Passage. And these rich crazy people that can just toss around 20K-30K for digital art/music, like it was nothing. Seriously, my god.
