IS THIS FOR REAL
---
Hide your money and jump-start your RVs, because the long-rumored Breaking Bad movie will reportedly begin filming later this month.
The New Mexico Film Office had previously announced production of a feature film entitled Greenbrier from Sony Pictures, but a source close to the production has confirmed to The Albuquerque Journal that the movie is, in fact, a Breaking Bad spinoff.
The film office would not comment on the project being a Breaking Bad film, but both Breaking Bad and its prequel show Better Call Saul have used false names for their productions in the past.
Greenbrier, officially, follows “the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom,” and is scheduled to begin filming in Albuquerque in mid-November and continue through early February. Though no further information has been given, it would certainly appear that the film could be a direct sequel to Breaking Bad, following Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman as he tries to put his meth-making past behind him.
This would be the first project for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul creator Vince Gilligan after signing a three year deal with Sony Pictures Television in July. Both Breaking Bad and Saul were set and filmed in Albuquerque, under the Sony Pictures Television banner.

Edit:
Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston Would 'Absolutely' Return for the Movie
Bryan Cranston would be up to return for the Breaking Bad movie -- if he's asked, of course.
In light of the news that Vince Gilligan is currently working on a Breaking Bad film, speculation has spread over what the film will be about and who it would center around. Speculation has spread that the film will center around Jesse Pinkman, as played by Aaron Paul, following the events of the series finale. Paul's former Breaking Bad co-star has come out in support of the upcoming television movie, and has confirmed that he would love to appear in it.
Cranston, who won multiple Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Walter White in the series, has been upfront about what he knows about the film and his overall excitement for the project. While appearing on the Dan Patrick Show, Cranston was asked about the film.
“Yes, there appears to be a movie version of Breaking Bad. But I honestly have not even read the script. So I couldn’t tell you... If Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, sure, absolutely. He’s a genius,” Cranston said.
At the end of Breaking Bad, Jesse Pinkman finally escaped the meth lab he’d been forced into by a gang of Neo-Nazis. Initially condemned there by Walter White, he’s ultimately saved by him. As Walter walks back into the lab and seemingly dies from his injuries, Jesse steals a car and drives away. His story is left open-ended, which seems to be where the proposed film will pick up.
It’s unknown how Walter would appear in the film (potentially as a dream sequence or flashback), but it’s interesting that Cranston was in the know and seems excited to potentially work with Gilligan again.
