Warnings: Alternates between sweet, feel-good, and/or sexy songs to dark and angsty ones. A bit heavy on The Tea Party (three songs worth). I honestly wouldn't be surprised if some of these songs have shown up on other people's fanmixes, as they seem pretty obvious Dean/Cas to me. Apologies for the redundancy, if so.
A/N: This is my first Dean/Cas fanmix, as well as my first contribution to the Dean/Cas fandom in general. I actually started compiling this mix at the start of season 6, but I was never quite happy with it back then and well… things definitely changed between the characters as the season progressed. I'd say it ended up becoming a very different mix than the one I originally started out with. Anyhoo, in my head this mix encompasses many of the aspects of their intense but complicated relationship (their sexual tension and unrequited/unacknowledged desire for one another included) during seasons 4 and 5 (tracks 1-9), as well as the hurt and betrayal they both feel in season 6 (tracks 10-13). It also offers a little redemptive hope for a potential/AU season 7 (tracks 14-15), though my actual hope for the season may be rather dim at best…
P.S. - I managed to restrain myself, but I wish I could have fit the entirety of Coldplay's A Rush Of Blood To The Head and X&Y, as well as Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More on this fanmix. I highly recommend all three albums for putting you in the headspace for Dean/Cas.
