I love these two together. The dynamic of their friendship is very interesting to me. I fully expected slash though, when I saw your summary. lol

You have captured Charles's helplessness in that scene very well, but also his ultimate loyalty. I love it.

It was supposed to go in the direction of slash, but then my brain wouldn't allow it for some reason haha :) Will have to do slash another time!

Oh, please do, hehe! Seeing all this Henry/Charles fics here makes me want to finally finish my own slash story. It's been sitting on my comp for ages now.

Yay, another Henry/Charles ficlet! I think you portrayed their relationship very well... all this ultimate loyalty and bromance. I love it!

Plus... is it only me and my slash-focused mind or is there a little bit of subtext between the last lines? ;-)) “Stay at court tonight, I want you close to me" just produces some nice images in my head about how that scene could continue *ahem*

Oh that line was put there on purpose. I'm a bit of a slash tease, sorry! haha :)

Honestly though, I felt the actual scene in the show was very suggestive. Micheal Hirst is obviously a bit of a fanboy at heart! :P

Actually, many Tudor scenes with the two lads are very suggestive. I mean, take the arm wrestling scene in Season 1. Even my boyfriend (who's normally teasing me that I see slash everywhere even though there's none) had to laugh and admit that there's more than a little subtext in that one.

Talking about it, I wouldn't mind to read a piece of slash from you... (maybe a little sequel to this scene? ;-) ), you have a fine writing style!
