[Friendly and armed, now that makes her feel at home. Lorna comes right up to him--there's nothing wrong with this picture. She settles down beside him with her glass of vodka.]

Hiya, handsome. Lemme buy you your next round.

[He wouldn't mind company. He was out to relax. Less strange than people visiting him on the roof.]

Thank you kindly.

[Lorna is getting her flirt on. See that flirty smile?]

My name's Lorna, what's yours~?

[Sniper had a pleasant smile. He worked hard at getting that, see him abuse it.]

Patrik Brown, but most call me Sniper. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Though I have to say I'm surprised you managed to snag a drink in this place. It's not the friendliest to women.

I asked for a glass of water while I wait for my darling husband. Got grumped at, but...I don't think he knows I've got a flask in my bag. [Lorna smirks proudly, unaware of the danger of trying to bend Mayfield's rules.]

I'd watch out for thatsort of thing, the men here have a mean right hook.

[He warned. Otherwise he wasn't too afraid of getting caught doing something wrong. Weapons in public and all.]

So where did they steal you away from if you don't mind my asking?

If that's the worst they can come up with then I think I'm all right. [She laughs brightly, but she puts her hand up to cover her mouth before she does so. For that matter, she's always got her glass in front of her mouth when she's talking, or looking away, or otherwise hiding it.]

I'm from a place called Bleaker, last city standing in the pacific north west. We think it's near what used to be called....um... [Ancient history here, but she tries to dig it out.] ...Seatle [Mispronounced.] or something.

Not the worse, but still a nuisance.

[He actually seemed pleased to see she wasn't afraid. As for covering her mouth, if he noticed he didn't comment.]

Bleaker hm? Last city standing? Mind if I ask the year they kidnapped you from?

Well, if you want to get technical, it's the first city to be rebuilt. And the only one. Everywhere else is just wasteland. [What year, though..? Lorna forgot. She has to think for a moment.]

...2273. No, 2274 now. Time flies.

... That it does.

[Well, she wins for furthest in future and still on earth to talk to Sniper.]

So, how long have you been stuck in this lovely town?

Since... [Memories of Westport flash, and she shudders a bit, and takes a large sip of her drink. Was that the clink of overlarge teeth on the glass?]

Since tax time, actually. ...How about you?

[The sound didn't draw a reaction from Sniper as he just smiled and nodded. Understanding.]

Since a while before that. Though Tax time was the first time the town did anything new to me. I must say this is quite out of my area of expertise.

Mine, too. I'm just an instrument maker... Dying art in my world, but...who can complain? This is...completely different.

[How easy to relate to him...he's not making a fuss about anything. Lorna could get used to this...]

Still, sounds like a good job. Someone's got to pass down things like that.

This isn't too far different from back home suburbia. In look anyways. It's about a decade or two behind the times but otherwise it's familiar.

[Lorna chuckles and shakes her head.] This place is...ancient. I mean...this is about the time jazz was invented, wasn't it? That's....ancient right there...

I'm from the late 1960's, though the more I hear people talk the less modern that sounds.
