[Waves back down to him.]

Nice to see you. Have you come for some training or other business today if you don't mind me asking?

[[Massimo nods.]]

Yeah, I think it might be useful for me to learn how to use firearms. I mean, I can shoot little rockets, but that's all.

Rockets are more Soldier's thing, but I can teach you how to fire a rifle and hit your mark.

Climb the ladder on the side of the house and meet me up here.

[[Massimo nods, and climbs the ladder up the side of the house. When he reaches the top, he looks just a little nervous.]]

...Hopefully the roof won't cave in.

[He never thought of that issue.]

How much do you weigh right now mate?

Half a ton.

[[nervous cough.]]

At least.

Well then mate, lets do this from street level shall we? I'll meet you in my front yard.

[He'd let the heavy man down first before going down the ladder himself. Idly wondering if Heavy or Soldier would be better trainers for Massimo. Still, Heavy wasn't around and Soldier was crazy, so maybe not.

Meeting Massimo in the front yard.]

So, before we even begin. Can you tell me the difference between a proffesional sniper and a mental defective?

steel_massifail May 11 2010, 17:06:18 UTC
...

[[what the hell kind of question is that i don't even]]

Well, professional sniping a career and a profession, but a mental defective is someone with a poor brain.

...A mental defective wouldn't be able to snipe things. Sniping takes a lot of concentration, right? And letting a mental defective get near a gun is very dangerous, they might just go firing off rounds at random, or even people.

I think we lost something in the translation here... hmm.

[He tried again.]

I mean a mental defective like a crazed gun man type. What's the major difference between a crazed gun man and a proffesional sniper?

steel_massifail May 11 2010, 17:44:43 UTC
A crazed gunman kills for the heck of it and is considered mentally unstable, and a professional sniper is highly-skilled assassin who doesn't kill for pleasure, but instead seeks out the targets he's given.

Good answer.

A crazed gun man shoots for fun or lets some other emotion drive him. A proffesional doesn't and relies on his own set of rules. You stick to them and people can depend on you. Without standards you're no better than the looney's on the street.

[Hands Massimo the hunting rifle.]

Try holding the gun, butt end against your shoulder for a moment.

A-alright.

[[He picks up the rifle for a moment, looks at it, and holds it up, aiming for a sign. His finger's not on the trigger, and he's sticking out his right arm a little.]]

...L-like this?

[He'd reach up and adjust his grip, making sure the butt of the rifle was against Massimo's shoulder.]

Get a feel for it and make sure it's secure.
