Oh hey, look what the Cheshire Cat dragged back in.

[voice] why would they ever want to? bloodluna December 15 2009, 22:25:56 UTC
Finally a familiar voice. Dragged, I suspect, is the operative word.

It would be the most appropriate verb for this place, wouldn't it?

Are you doing all right? You've been gone a while.

[voice] She is indeed! bloodluna December 15 2009, 22:40:22 UTC
I don't know how long I've been gone. I was... in nothingness. I could not tell the passage of time, such as there was, or is.

I almost prefer this place to that.

I can't blame you for that. At least this place has some semblance of a pattern, even if it is a pattern of inconsistency.

It has days and nights, beds and food, which is an improvement.

It's the small things in life, isn't it?

Glad to see you're back in one piece. And there really are a lot of new faces here recently.

[voice] They're not that complex really. =D bloodluna December 15 2009, 23:01:44 UTC
Sometimes, yes.

The population seems to have almost doubled. I've been told I was gone for little over a month. I would have expected longer.

[voice] No and that's the complex thing. Look at the people she has to deal with :T ethereallawyer December 16 2009, 02:58:01 UTC
And I have yet to figure out why that happened. I'd imagine it was a bit of a shock for you to wake up here with so many new and very loud voices.

[voice] Good point. bloodluna December 16 2009, 20:22:51 UTC
Almost as much of a shock as it was to wake up.

Any time the ranks here swell it is of concern.

[Honing in on that last statement.]

Has there ever been a pattern when it does happen?

[voice] It makes Wonderland look almost normal, huh? bloodluna December 20 2009, 22:56:45 UTC
Not as such, and not that I have experienced, but the tales of others lead me to believe that when the numbers swell, the mansion becomes more active in terms of events. There was a long period of quiet before I arrived, and the numbers here had dwindled to no better than a couple of dozen inhabitants. The numbers started to rise again at the same time as the mansion began to put on more frequent events; I arrived just at the beginning of it all.

[voice] It really, really does >_>a .. it'd be amazing if she ever got canonmates here |D ethereallawyer December 20 2009, 22:59:13 UTC
Hmmm... [She sounds like she's thinking.] So it could be theorized that there's a correlation between the number of residents and events.

[voice] Wouldn't it just? bloodluna December 20 2009, 23:08:30 UTC
It would appear that way. To theorise on the reasons for that leaves us on more tentative ground. Which is cause, and which effect, if either are, is something that for now we can only guess.

[voice] I think she'd just headdesk XD especially if certain ones showed up ethereallawyer December 21 2009, 16:06:05 UTC
Of course, because nothing's ever easy here, is it?

[slight sigh.] Thank you for the extra evidence, Saix. Every little bit is useful.
