What's so disappointing is that I don't feel like this is leading to RP; in fact, quite the opposite, this is leading to all characters feeling completely alienated from each other to the point where there is no place to start. And now both JD and Julian have talked about slipping into torpor.
Even now the man who was once a gigolo receives yet another gift and realizes that it holds nothing more than bribery and placation to return to the good graces of a famiglia rather than to him as a father.
Frankly, that's just upsetting. Again, to take the harshest perspective instead of it being seen as some gesture, some effort of Audra trying to fix this.
She writes letters - no response
She calls - goes to voicemail
She tries to visit - can't come in the house
She gives gifts - they're seen as meaningless bribes
Besides, it wasn't so much the cigarette case that was the gift as was the ribbon. the thing that cost nothing but should have far more meaning.
At this point I have no idea what to do.
