HAPPY SPRING BREAK!
Friday, Mims and I went to Northgate with Marbie so I could buy her shoes. We looked at some prom dresses at JC Pennys and yikes. Ugly. Then Mims came home with me and Kathryn-san came over and we watched
Equilibrium. Good movie, awesome action sequences, and Christian Bale. Who could ask for more? Kathryn-san left and then Mims and I watched
Mysterious Skin, which was impressive. It's about sexual abuse young (really young) boys and a hustler, so there are a lot of explicit (but not graphic) sex scenes and that was a little uncomfortable to watch with Mims. Some of it's really brutal. The acting was phenomenal. Joseph Gordon-Levvit, who most know from 3rd Rock from the Sun and Ten Things I Hate About You is absolutely incredible. Not to mention extremely beautiful. The ending was just, wow. It's a really good movie.
Yesterday evening, I went to
Take the Lead with Annie. It was a lot lighter than Equilibrium and Mysterious Skin, but good and the dancing was awesome. It was a lot of fun, and in conclusion: I've eaten way too much popcorm this weekend.
