(no subject)
Do you ever get the urge to just publicly humiliate someone? I know thats like the meanest thought ever, but I get that urge sometimes with certain people. Certain people who think they're "talented" at what they do, when they aren't. Just want to make them realize that they aren't all that! Since I don't ACTUALLY wanna publicly humiliate anyone, I'll write about it in this journal, since no one really reads it anyways, I can still mock someone, but in a secret way.
People like photographers. Now first, I wanna clarify (to the random handful of people that actually read this) that this post is NOT about ANYONE i am personally friends with. To make it EVEN more clear, this post is NOT about anyone from winkler.
I am also not claiming that I know a lot about photography, nor that I am good at it or that its an interest of mine personally. In fact, I probably know little about photography.
Honestly, it just makes me laugh when certain people think they're good at photography because they "take a lot of pictures from close up at shows with a decent or expensive camera" Just because you own a camera, doesn't make you a good photographer. Just because you capture a random obscure looking people that you think is "artistic" does not make you a photographer. You think because you share a name with someone who is amazing at photography that youre amazing too? By the way, his name is probably copyrighted, so you might wanna check into that, too. I'm sure he doesn't want random people who check out his work on the internet to think that your photos belong to him. In fact, he'd probably be embarrased.
I just feel that photography should just be a hobby for most people, not a profession, unless you're good at what you do. Cuz honestly, anyone could pick up a good camera and take a random good picture. It's about more than that. Also, must you post EVERY picture from your shoot? Why not choose a handful of good ones? No one really cares to look through piles of show pictures. Gets boring!
