Met a Christian Scientist guy who did a holistic-medicine procedure on my friend. Which more or less resembled a dance in space behind him, and sometimes he'd tell him to "lean this way" or "move your chin". It was weird because the situation immediately assumed a very doctorly tone, and given the circumstances (4AM surrounded by seedy kidz) it was kind of unworldly. I'm not sure if the guy has talent but he has the reassuring aspect of a doctor down, especially weird because he and the kid went to high school together.
Proceeds to have a well-informed conversation about the Misfits and "kids from the Upper East Side who go to thrift stores and buy denim jackets with Crass pins on them for $400". Then talks about a hallucinogen I've never heard of.
Keep in mind that from his personality he's EXACTLY the kind of person who responds easily and verbosely to Internet trolls. It blows my mind that people I used to make fun of are so fun and interesting. They're clearly lame from an IRL perspective, but no one else knows what the fuck they're talking about so they can't judge them too harshly.
