:end synopsis.
so i got to thinking about the sandlot. just now. for no reason. and i was thinking, after he goes through this great adventure trying to get his dad's autographed babe ruth baseball back from the beast, and he ends up having it being chewed beyond all recognition and the old wise blind guy gives him one signed by the whole team instead, and everything is apparently all good with his dad after that, then they show the kid with both balls on those little ball stands as he's announcing the game blah blah blah..
what am i going to put in a glass case for my kid to mistakenly steal and go on adventures trying to return without me noticing? what piece of my childhood will stick with me forever?
i dont guess i have anything. nothing we really went on adventures for. the objects of our adventures were much more intangible than a measly baseball.
tonight, the four forces of the world met on the field of battle. a war to decide the fate of the planet. The Red Forces quickly deployed troops stemming from the siberian tundra, heavily fortifying the western front facing the Black Army Of Death - That Hessian Brood with their terrible black steeds breathing ash and sulfur in the night sky. The Red was faced to the northeast by the Cossacks, in an evil occultic pact with the Black Army, that occupied the icy wasteland protecting the strategic stronghold of the behring straight - the only pathway to the fertile americas. The strong American Coalition was quick to fortify the ile of Iceland, the only land that prevented the Black army from gaining total control of the European Theatre, thus securing political powers that would enable the recruitment of an additional 5 regiments every few months. In addition, the Americans claimed Australia, the 'ASSHOLE OF THE EARTH', for no particular reason whatsoever. The Blue Madagascarian Army was quick to claim the whole of South America, and most of Africa, save Morocco and Cairo. a few short offensives and they would control the entire southern hemisphere.
The Blue and the Yellow Americans were in allies from the start, to rid the world of communist scum and evil mutant creatures alike. a large offensive designed to weaken the Black defenses proved sucessfull at first, but they had not counted on the unparalelled resilience of the Evil Army. They fought back with unfaultering precision and ferocity, claiming the Icelandic Isles, Rome, Constantinople, Madrid, and pushed into the Ukraine with little-to-no regard for the impending winter.
the Fallen armies, reeling in the defeat and the demoralization of their troops (the Hessian Brood would often, after drinking the blood of the defeated officers, place their enemy's severed penises in their decapitated heads and post them upsidedown on 30 foot pikes and leave their bodies to rot on the front.), spared no expense at their reenforcement, and lay in wait planning their next offensive. meanwhile, the Red Army had lost their foothold on southeast asia, rushing to reinforce troops on the western and southern fronts, but limited resources and the cold of winter bearing down did little to help. The Middle East fell. Afganistan fell. India Fell. the Whole of the Red force was pushed deep into mongolia.
to be conitnued... probably not. . .
im tired of writing about our risk game. i was the first to go out. chris (the americans) and daniel (the blue madagascarian army) teamed up against me (the black army of death) and rhys (the red force). i was too pissed that rhys tried to claim asia before i had the chance to that i gave no thought of joining an alliance with him, and ulitmately the Black Death fell to the hands of the Axis of Good. rhys put up a pretty good fight, then he finally surrendered.
there.
