Spike is living with Xander in the basement and watches him at night while he has nightmares he finds it entertaining when he finds out that Faith tried to kill him (Or rape him) but when he finds out Angel raped Xander everything changes.

Does anyone know what story I'm talking about? Thanks! =)

Wasnt there a part when Angel also carved his name into Xanders back, too? Cos this sounds sooo familiar but I cant remember the story!!

While the description sounds really familiar I can't recall the name at the moment. This post is more in response to spazlady2002's comment. The story your thinking of is 'What Makes Us' by Laikokae. [ http://spanderfiles.com/arvs/laikokae/wmu.html ]

In that fic though Xander all ready owns his own apartment (so post-Spike as a roommate in the Basement of Doom) and Spike knew back during the Acathla what Angelus was doing (and had assumed the Scooby Gang knew too - but realizes they didn't). Anyway; during the course of the fic they end up together - not at the start.

I have totally read that, but can't remember the name (though I'm sure someone here will). I think it had dream or nightmare in the title, but then again I could be completely off the mark.
