One of Dahlia's first stops is the gift shop. She only has 10,000 CP, not nearly enough to purchase any of that candy she'd read about. But at least she can purchase some nice, normal clothes -- a sundress, some sandals -- and a parasol.
Much better.
As she leaves the shop, she almost bumps into the other woman she saw shopping in there. "Ah-- I-I'm sorry..."
Oichi wasn't paying attention while she span, but quickly stops her antics in time to face the other woman. She tilts her head and bears her neck, lips pursing in curiosity.
She's pretty, Oichi thinks, reaching out despite their being more than an arm's length away from each other.
"Ah, how beautiful," she lilts. "Your hair... the color of rust, of blood, the color of decay. Can Ichi touch it? Pretty please..."
"There's no need to be scared," Oichi says, lowering her arm to cover her mouth and nose with her hands. Her eyes are unfocused and dull, but they dart around from object to object. "It's alright... I won't eat you, little butterfly..."
Akabane had seen of moping and crying since arriving at Deadman Wonderland. He had believed, or hoped rather, that the criminals here would be more entertaining than that, yet there were only a few individuals that had peaked his interest so far.
Yet this new girl's actions were peculiar to him. Sure the crying wasn't all that knew, but the way she savagely ripped the flower apart was at least enough to catch his eye. So, putting on his usual smile, Akabane walked over until he was next to the young woman.
She looks up to him, tears in her eyes and the shreds of the flower squeezed in her hands.
"Troubles... yes," she says, and she brushes her hands off, pointing up to the sky. She seems somewhat less distressed now that he's here. "The sun has hidden from Ichi... It's gone... some day it will return, but for now it is gone, and Ichi misses it..."
She's completely serious about it. There's no hint of a joke, and she's almost painfully genuine. Oichi really is crying over the sun going behind a cloud.
"Ah," she says, startled. "You made it come back... look how beautifully it shines."
She slowly climbs to her feet, tilting her head and looking Akabane over carefully. "Who are you? Someone so kind as to bring it back to Ichi... maybe he could help her over this wall, too..."

"My-my hair?" She fingers a long strand of it and puts on a hesitant face. "I-- I don't know... I..."

"There is no need to worry," he said reassuringly. "After all, the day is still young. The sun will return, right around now I would imagine."
Sure enough, the cloud slowly drifted to the side, and the sun shown down upon them once more.
