Christ is magnified in our suffering. Either by rescuing us from it, walking with us through it, or calling us home to be with him, which is greater.
Jesus is good when nothing is going good and Jesus is good when all is good!
In life we are fruitful and labor for the spreading of the Gospel and the edification of the church body.
In death we receive that which we long for. Jesus!
What makes us fear the life we are called to live in Christ? What makes us shrink back, stay quiet, and fear to live counter-culturally? Is Jesus our treasure? Or do we value our lives and our comfort more? “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
1 Corinthians 15:55 ESV. To God be the glory!
for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Philippians 1:19-21 ESV
