Genesis 16

Sarai begins to get impatient for this promised child. God does not do it when she thinks it should be done so she takes matters into her own hands. She comes up with a plan to get one of her servant girls to sleep with he husband, to have his baby and give it to her. She confronts Abram with the plan; I want you to sleep with this young girl for me. Being the great husband he has been so far he says ok babe, whatever I have to do to be a good husband. So the girl Hagar becomes prego and Sarai gets jealous and mad at her. Typical!! She blames Abram. He says I was just showing you how much I love you by doing what you wanted. Abram puts it off on fer and Sarai runs Hagar off in her anger. While Hagar was out in the wilderness God came to her and said to return to her masters house. That she would have a son and God would bless her and make her descendants innumerable. He tells her to name him Ishmael, meaning God hears her misery. That he would be a wild man, a fighter, that he would be hostile to many. From Ishmael comes the Ishmaelites who today are our modern day Muslims. From Ismaels descendants would come their faulse messiah, Mohammed. Mohammed supposedly received the knowledge of how to get to God by the angel Gabriel. We know that it was really Satan who masquerades as an angel of light. It is funny how some people think that their sins have no implications on the world but as you can see here they obviously do. This was over 4000 years ago and the world is still suffering from it. You may have heard of the constant war that is going on in Israel. It is a fight over the rights to the land. See God said that Isaac was to be the promised child and God was going to use him and his lineage to fulfill his promises. The Muslims however say that Ismael is the promised child because he was first and he should get the birthright. So through the sins of theses three people this horrible war drags on endlessly. Don't be so naive to think that your sin does not have any implications on anything. Just wait you'll see them.
