Guh, why do I not post more? It's like a button click away everytime I'm on the internet. *sigh* Whatev, here is a nearly month long recap of all the things I meant to post about and never did.
August 2nd was my birthday, yay! I got a signed copy of 'Wicked' and a pair of pajamas from Mum and Dad along with '
The Water Horse' and a new Death Cab for Cutie CD from Gary.
We went to Eau Claire to have lunch, though the restaurant didn't open until 6 (we arrived at 2) so we went to
Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream (which is the best I've ever had, I swear) then to the mall where I did a survey to get two buck, brought a movie that was on sell for three (I was going to look and maybe buy a book too, but it had no bookstores. What kind of mall doesn't sell books?) and got a cartilage piercing which I've been thinking about for awhile and which I absolutely love though I kind of wish I'd picked the barbell earring because, as much as I love the little diamond, the needley end is about ready to drive me nuts, *laughs*.
After dinner we went to the movies, I was going to see Batman (I want to see it so badly!! The Joker sounds wonderfully insane), but the next showing wasn't for two hours :(, so we saw Wall-E instead. Yeah, I know: GEAR SHIFT! I loved it though, one of the cutest, prettiest movies I'd seen in awhile. I just wanted to adopt the whole lot of them.

Gary had an unwanted cockatiel brought into his work awhile ago (he worked at a vet) which the owner managed to talk Gary into who managed to talk Mum into taking it. His name is Captain Jack Sparrow and he is the noisiest bird I've ever heard.

Mum brought herself an eleven year old horse named Annie a few days before my birthday. It's a ginger coloured cross-breed and utterly wonderful, one of the calmest, most gentle horses I've ever meet.
A week later she and Dad went to an auction and brought Gary and I both horses, young ones that were going cheap, neither of us have seen them yet, but we are finally getting them brought home tomorrow! I don't remember what Garys is except that it's red-coloured, but mine's a three month old, sand-coloured Belgium (one of my favourite kinds, it looks a bit like a stockier Clydesdale and is believed to have come from a type of war horse) filly that is already bigger than Mums horse! I'm so excited, I'll have to train her and won't be able to ride her for about a year yet, but still I'm getting a horse! I can walk her and brush her until then. ♥

I was looking at Craigs List last night and found a really good computer for cheap, it comes with a keyboard and mouse (not sure about speakers), is internet ready and has Window XP installed already (instead of Vista, thank gods, that operating systom is like a virus). I'm going to go pick it up either tomorrow or the next day depending on when the horses get here. Yay, It'll be so nice to be able to use a computer and not have every move, download and wallpaper choice complained about and ridiculed by Gary who I share a computer with at the moment. Plus if Sam can get the virus out of my old hard-drive he should be able to jerry-rig it to the new one giving me all my old stuff back and about twice the memory!
Now I just have to figure out where to put the stuff that's already on my desk (including an old typewriter which I love).

The kids are going to Kindergarten (which according to LJ I've been spelling wrong for years, how embarrassing...) this year, I think they'll have fun though Kiera is a little afraid to go. Because of that we are only going to have them one weekend every three weeks (basically once a month) which I think might worry them and have Mum calling them everyday. Though truthfully? I don't think that arrangement will last any longer than three weeks.

Questions: How do you put a mood theme on? Also does any one know of a good Black Books one? I've been looking forever....

I feel like there was a lot more, but gods only know what it was....
Cheers! Hopefully you'll hear from me before another month passes. *giggles*
