I would be great birthing stock.
No, really. I was just thinking about it, you know in that rather roundabout way of fandom (Torchwood), ideas (Mpreg, birthing groups in Sci-fi), RL stuff (actual pregnancy) and while I don't think I'll ever want kids of my own I would love to be a surrogate. All the joy of bring life into the world (with the added delight of making someones dreams and wishes and family complete) and none of the raising said life, I just think that's brilliant. Plus I'm built for it: Thick and sturdy with wide hips (and a fairly good pain thresh-hold), I was fricking made to give birth.
I mean I know it's not a life, I can't make a living of it or anything, but if I'm not doing anything for 9 months, why not, right? Plus can you imagine the look on peoples faces when they ask about the baby and you say "Oh, he's not mine; I'm just carrying him for a friend"?*
*I'd probably never say that being too shy and polite, but the thought is hystarical.
