Comment and I will give you 3 interests on your list, and 3 icons, for you to explain about.
I was given by animimares the following three interests to explain.

Fruits Basket is the first manga I ever read and am still reading (I'm only to volume 6 out of 16 available). It's about this girl Tohru who through a series of events ends up living with The Sohma family and finds out their secret of being possessed by their zodiac spirit (and changing into that animal when hugged by one of the opposite sex). It sounds really weird, but is actually well done and rather funny in parts. I haven't read much manga, but this series is my favorite, hands down.

Silence: I'm not sure what to say about this. I just like silence, like the kind you get walking through a calm wood or in an empty house. The kind that seeps into you, cool and refreshing like water till it's not just silent around you, but in you. Peace of mind and soul.

Sirius/Remus: This slash pairing refers to Sirius Black and Remus Lupin from the Harry Potter books. It's definitely one of my favorites and one of the few I can see working as canon. It's an interesting pairing to write because of how different they are, but also because of what they've gone through. You have to take into account the angst and distrust of their time and offset it with them being friends and how it might have lead to them being lovers. Plus the freedom of the pairing is nice; when you don't have much info on their past and how things happened, who's to say they didn't go down path B instead of Path 7?

: This was inspired by one of Animimares's Pansy/Luna stories, which I can't seem to find. *Is disappointed* It was a beautiful story (as all hers are, if you haven't read them you need to) and in it, it had Luna dancing/twirling, her hair falling upon her shoulders which brought to mind that line from the poem 'Auguries of Innocence' by William Blake. Truth-be-told I wasn't actually planning to make an icon, but then I find this picture which was so perfect (though I had to dye the hair) and I just couldn't resist.

: This is a shoot of Rose Tyler from 2005s version of Doctor Who in the episode 'Father's Day'. It was one of these times where I was watching a show and the camera happened to stop on this gorgeous shot that just literally made me gasp, it was so well-done. I think it's the contrast that really makes it, the colours of the stain-glass window behind her against the near colourness of her. Plus that lost look on her face, like the star she'd been following had just gone out, leaving her in darkness.
It's actually one of the easiest icon I ever made as all I did was crop/shrink it down to icon size.

Oh, this is one of, if not the favourite of the icons I've made. Mostly, I think, because I did everything in the icon: the art is mine, the quote is mine, I designed the panels and I animated it (with a simple program, but still).
It was one of those where I was rather afraid to upload it, because what if I severely ticked someone off? I mean I don't believe in God, I think the bible is a fantastic piece of fiction, so The Devil to me is a just another minor character they don't say much about him so I can take him and make him sympathetic, shape him. Not everyone thinks that, but so far everyone has liked it. :)
I don't know what was special about this doodling, as I tend to draw lots of thing like this (I have another I really like that I'm thinking about iconing also), but the moment I looked at it I got that piece of fake scripture running through my head and an incredible urge to share it. I think it's one icon I'm going to keep for a long time.
