Eric knew by handing the girls and their brother to the man was seriously breaking the rules, but when he saw Alex carefully wake Trinity and her face light up he knew it was the right choice.

Alex smiled at her. “Hey munchkin. Your brother called. Thought I should take you, Baby Sarah and mike to my place for a few days. Aunt Beth’s already planning on chocolate chip pancakes for when you get there and I’ll call the school to pull you out for a few days okay?”

Trinity nodded then bit her lip a moment. “Daddy wont get mad again will he?” She let Alex take Sarah without a fuss.

“Even if he thinks to try to hurt you or Sarah I’ll stop him. I wont let him hurt my best fishing partner ever again.” He held out his free arm letting her hug him. Scooping her up he turned back to the doctor, who had grabbed Trinity’s coat for her.

Shyly she took it from him, hugging it close. “Thank you doctor.” He nodded to her.

“You’re welcome. I’ll see you later tonight. I want to make sure your sister’s okay.” He couldn’t resist ruffling her sleep mussed hair, making her frown at him and hide her face in Alex’s shoulder.

“Dinner’s at five thirty. I need to check their mother, but I’ll be around today. Sending them home with my son, Beth stayed home to prepare the guest room.”

Walking to the lobby he chuckled at the sight of Mike asleep in a chair. “Tony why don’t you help him to the car, I’ll call Mom and let her know she’ll have to come to the car for the girls.”

The old farm house sat at the end of the street, it didn’t look different than the most of the houses in the county. Which always made Mike feel a little strange after all the Foresters were one of America’s top four hundred richest families. The house was also corporate headquarters of Moonpride. He had asked about why they lived in a farmhouse instead of a mansion once and Alex had responded that it was one. Shaking his head he tried again to wake up. After all he’d have to show up in classes. Edward Grange would make things a living hell if he didn’t. “You know mom’s not going to let you leave until you’ve slept at least eight hours right?” Tony smirked a little.

“If I miss football practice he’ll make sure to hunt us down. I won’t risk it okay? Not this time.” Mike glanced back to where his sisters were asleep. “I just wish that we wouldn’t have to go back there. Mom can’t seem to leave him first time we tried,” He shook his head it had been three years ago the first time that Trinity had gotten hurt. He had thought he had lost his baby sister that day. Luckily the only damage had been to her left arm and leg.

“If my parents get their way you four will be living here after this. I don’t think Dad’ll have it any other way. Means I can teach you to drive," Tony chuckled lightly as he noticed his mother coming out of the house. "She's pissed." Mike just nodded.

“You think,” Mike grinned as Tony turned off the car. Stretching a moment he slid out in order to go fetch his sleeping sisters.

“No, you go get washed up and ready for bed. I’ll take care of Sarah and Trinity. Get going Michael David Grange.”

“Whoah all the names, you’re screwed Mikey.” For that Tony got the one finger salute.

“Yes ma’am. And don’t keep Trin up too long. She witnessed it.”

She shook her head moving to pick up the infant. Sarah. “Trinity, hey sweetie it’s time to get up.”

Trinity moaned a little and opened her eyes. “Auntie,” catching herself before she jumped up to hug her only because she had the baby with her. “Daddy hurt Momma really badly. He was going to kill Baby Sarah because she was crying.” This had Trinity in tears now. Mike picked her up trying to calm her again.

“Sorry I’ll deal with her okay?” Mike didn’t want to admit he didn’t really want her out of his sight yet. Maybe it was because he still felt guilty about the girls and his mother being alone when their father came home from town. He had known that his father was going to the bar after getting supplies but his mother had insisted that he went to enjoy the Halloween party at his friend’s house.

Trinity grabbed her brother hugging him tight. “We’re safe right? No way he’s going to take us home tonight?” Her voice was barely a whisper as he hefted her up a little more.

“We’re breaking all the rules by having you three here. We’ll break more if we have to to make sure that you’re safe Trin. I won’t endanger my nieces or nephew any more. I promise.” She had Sarah out of the car seat and was following Michael into the house. “Anthony put the car seat back in the garage and get ready for school breakfast is in twenty minutes. And no griping about the others staying her today. They need to lay low.”

“But Mom,” the whine was half hearted. “Hey Trin save me some pancakes will ya?”

“Otay Tony, I’ll try. But your momma makes them the bestest.” Only reason for that was Edward never let her mother treat Trinity to anything new. Mike managed to get his sister treats, but it was always risky just in case they were found. Not that she would complain. Trinity never complained, because it would anger her father. She clung to Mike a little more.

“Now Tony you know I over feed you as it is,” his mother scolded a little knowing he was trying to cheer her up. “Mike I put some pjs out for both of you and made both beds. Why don’t you two go grab showers. Breakfast will be waiting when you come down stairs. I have the crib in our room so Sarah won’t wake you.”
