On Heroes-Why Do I Still Watch This Show?
When there are only three characters I like and zero plot lines that interest me, why do I still watch this show week after week?
Seriously. Sylar, Noah Bennett, and Matt Parkman are the only three that I actually like. They killed off the only two females (Elle, Daphne) that I enjoyed, and the rest all irritate the hell out of me. I want to watch Claire die a horrible, painful death. I want them to come up with something so outlandish and awful that she can't possibly come back from it. I envision something like the Wicked Witch of the West turning into a puddle, complete with accompanying "I'm melting! I'm meeeeeeltiiiiiiing!" wail.
And if I never have to hear another of Peter's impassioned, self-important "I'm serious about protecting the world!" speeches, complete with accompanying Scowl and Knitted Eyebrows, it will be too soon. I loathe Nathan, and yet I would still much rather watch him than Peter.
And Mohinder. Holy God, can he never appear on my TV again? Shut up you whiny bitch and Go. Away.
I do like Angela, somewhat. She's okay. Notice how I like the ones who are evil, or at least a darker shade of gray? Except for Matt, but Matt's the one good guy who doesn't annoy the crap out of me. Well, I have to say Hiro and Ando don't bother me much, but Hiro's eternal optimism and "here's the moral of the story" attitude wear thin very quickly.
Bring back Adam. At least he was hot. And I wanted to see Elle and Sylar rule the world together. Damn, Zachary Quinto and Kristen Bell looked good together. Of course, they both look good no matter who they're standing next to, but next to each other, the hotness factor, like, amplified exponentially. I know she's dead, but bring her back somehow. You can't make it any more implausible than the rest of the shit this show has been spewing since the second half of season one. :P
