Signal Boosting
Good morning LJ-land. I know I have been away for a little bit. I think I just needed a break to reorganize some things. Anyway, for the moment, just a few boosts:
shveta_thakrar, long a proponent of diversity in literature, is raising funds to attend the Sirens conference where she is scheduled to host a presentation on "Magical and Monstrous Female Beings in South Asian Myth and Folklore." To do so, she is offering her copyediting and proofreading skills at reasonable rates. She also has a donate button if you're feeling generous and would like to help. I am in love with the beautiful and hand-crafted jewelry of Glamourkin. shveta_thakrar and babarnett bought me a lovely piece for my birthday this year (which I really should get a picture of to show you!) and I'm already eyeing up another piece...well worth the visit to their etsy!

And finally but not least, I see that msstacy13 posted about a high-quality edition of Jules Verne's Around the World in Eighty Days from Flatwater Press, which promotes the work of Nebraska authors. I have a soft spot for anything that promotes local and small press authors so this looks to be a nice edition to add to your library :)
