Lady Cromwell, you yourself know how dangerous witches and their kind can be.

Children are not yet set in their ways and may be saved from the damnation the witches have in store for them, but we cannot turn a blind eye to witchcraft and witch-workings among the children.

We must pay attention to who is accused, but we must not give them room enough to accuse us.

There are those in the City who ought to be tried for their crimes against God and man and these children are not they.
