Sheila, just on her way back from her eventful if unintended visit to the Reds, heard her name being called, but by a voice she hadn't heard in a long time. "Tex...?" she asked herself as she rolled quickly across the canyon.

"Tex? Is that you?" The words escaped as soon as her sensors registered the female soldier.

Tex turned around, smiling at the motherly voice she heard behind her.

"Sure is, it's good to see you again. I brought you somethings." She reached into her sack, not nearly as big as when she got here, and pulled out what appeared to be two gasoline canisters.

"You brought me...presents?" she asks, her voice full of disbelief. "Thank you," Sheila says in a daze, rolling slowly towards Tex to receiver her gifts.

Tex grinned.

"Mmm-hmm. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find elbow grease and headlight fluid in tank-sized proportions. Only the best for the only other sane person...er being around here." She headed towards Sheila with the cannisters to find the right inputs.

Sheila stops and directs Tex to the proper areas. "Headlight fluid is on my right side, near the front, and elbow grease is on the other side, about halfway back." She pauses for a moment.

"Why did it take you so long to return, Tex? The others have been back for about a month now."

Sheila giggles as well as she wraps her holographic arms around Tex's shoulders. "It goes something like that, right?" She holds a grin for a moment before giggling some more. "I feel so silly!"

"Don't." Tex smiles warmly, "You did it exactly right. You're a good friend Sheila." She slides her arms around Sheila, but making sure not to pass through her.

"Thanks!" Sheila smiles at Tex. "I have never had a friend like this. I am glad you are my first."

Tex smiles back, feeling a little touched by this.

"Why thanks Sheila, I'll try to be good friend for you. The kind of friend I wish had back home..." She remembers the crowd she fell in with, the ones that smoked in the bathroom and drank during the school dances...
