Tex grumbled as she shifted the large black satin sack she was carrying. Armor or not, her shoulders got real tired lugging this thing around. Her visors automatically adjusted to the rapidly brightening light that she was closing in on. It seemed like days since she'd walked into the cave tucked away near O'Malley's base. Finally, she looked on

"Of course not. I had to get away from all your stupid guy talk. But it got boring out in the wasteland, so here I am. And I brought presents!" She hefted up the bag again.
"So where're Church and the Tealtard?" She asked as she brushed past Caboose, headed for the kitchen.
Reply
"Presents? Really?" Caboose asked doubtfully, its not that he didn't trust Tex, he just didn't trust her because she'd hurt Church.
"I made friends with some of the Reds while you were gone, and Simmons joined our team; Grif, the orange one, is really cool. Sarge is nice too."
Reply
"And you say Simmons joined us? Great, like we need more dead weight on this team." She rolled her eyes, "Have we got any wrapping paper around here?"
Inwardly she mulled. So the Reds were deciding to be friendly. Well, that put a damper on about half of her toys. The other half she was sure she could find a use for, she just needed a willing victim.

"Mmm....gingerbread. You'll have to make me some sometime Caboose, I didn't know you cooked." She read the card.
"'To Caboose, a friendly blue fella with a good knack for coffee.' That certainly was nice of the Sargeant, considering..." Tex rolled her eyes again, "Never mind. And never mind about the wrapping paper either. I'll just wait for everyone to come in to get them their presents. Oh, and I got some stuff for Sheila too I know she'll adore. And I can accesorize her with some tinsel for the season and..." She remembered Caboose was standing right there, "...and a new paintjob...." She said really sheepishly.
"Ok, so I like Christmas a lot." She twiddled her thumbs.

"Just so you know Church is dating again, I just thought you should know so it isn't awkward."

"Dating? Who? Sheila? Tucker? You?" Tex laughed at the absurdity of it all. She'd had that boy wrapped around her finger since day 1, there was no way he had to the guts to go out with anyone else. Not that there was anyone else around here. She just grinned as she went through her sack and awaited Caboose's answer.

"You're...joking right Caboose? This is where you say something like you've just been eating lots of dates. Together. Everyday..." Tex groaned at her horrible logic. She sat at the table, resting her cheeks in her hands, a wistful look on her face. It just seemed....she sighed and tried to clear the cobwebs in her head...

Caboose got himself one of the sports drink like powders out of cabnet and poured it into a glass, Once he added water and stired it he went and sat down opposite Tex.

"This is not happening, this is not happening, wake up Alli...."

"Where is Ali? Is he or she having a nightmare?"

"Alli's my name, you big queer lunk. Allison." She sighed again and reached into her bag, "Here. Merry Christmas." She said an almost flat voice. She pulled out a cup and ball set and set it in front of Caboose.
"Have fun with it when you feel lonely." With that, she hefted her sack and headed for her room.

Caboose watched her leave, and glanced at his gift, then back up at Tex's retreating figure; he stood up and made a hot chocolate and brought it to the door she went into, knocking litely.

"Just a minute." She called as she stuffed the cut out under her cot where it wouldn't easily be seen. After the mad fumbling, she recomposed herself and walked to the door and opened it.
"Oh. Hey." She didn't look too excited to see Caboose.
