When Church returns to his base and his bed, he finds that he has, in fact, fallen out of it. He aches a little to see Caboose's arm thrown across the empty space his body was in before. He almost feels like he abandoned him- but didn't he, essentially? He decides not to feel guilty about it, concentrating instead on lying down in his body and pulling himself back together. The familiar heavy feeling returns to his limbs and he flexes his fingers experimentally to make sure- yep. All there. He sits up, rubbing his head where it hit the floor, and crawls back into bed with a grunt, pushing Caboose's arm out of the way, facing Caboose and curling up into him with a tired sigh. It's shitty how doing that tires him out and he never realized that, probably because he figured he was still a robot at the time. It occurs to him that Grif doesn't yet know he's alive again, and figures it doesn't matter- he'll know when it's time for him to know, or else Donut will yak about it. After another pang, Church frowns and stops thinking awhile. Time to rest up some more.
