Within a couple of hours, Church twitches himself awake. At first, he panics; being pinned isn't the best way to wake up. When he remembers how he got there, however, he relaxes. He really ought to learn how to wake up more alert- he should be used to this by now. He runs through his routine string of awakening thoughts- it's not cold, he doesn

With a sigh, Church pulls an uncharacteristic stunt. Partially separating himself from Grif, he leans back and carefully hangs his arms over Grif's shoulders in an awkward hug. He has to concentrate so he won't fall through, and this probably feels cold to Grif. "I didn't mean to be the bad guy," he murmurs brokenly. "Fuck, I didn't even know at first. I'm not here to take him away from you, as long as you can promise me the same... and make sure you be good to him..." Church hangs his head halfway into Grif's back, feeling the other's spine push through his brain in his partially manifested state. "I swear to god I'm not here to fuck things up," he mutters, sounding more like he's trying to convince himself.

"hmph...There's no possible way for me to be bad to Donut. But while we're on that subject," He growls, feeling a fire burn within him, "If I ever find out you do anything to hurt, emotionally or physically, Donut...You will be dead twice over...and there will be ghost around either..."
He trailed off. He felt a little better, having that gotten off his mind. Grif sighed, not knowing if that was the best way to approach the matter. Buuut...it was out now, and there was no taking it back. He clenched his eyes shut and rubbed the bridge of his nose in frustration with himself.
"Sorry...that really didn't come out right..."

"Yeah, I guess you're right. If you were good you would still be...spying. Not standing there and having a civil conversation with me. Don't take a job as a spy...You'd suck at it." He didn't really even understand his own rambling. He stopped abruptly, figuring he should while he was ahead. Yup, that was him...random, non-important rambling...

"Nah, it's fine. It's time I face them anyways. Been a while since I thought about some of...of those memories." He choked up for a second. He metally slapped himself and calmed down. Grif looked down at Church's form, and the hand he held out. He felt a little uncomfortable about it, but if it was going to make Donut happy...then he'd do it. He reached out his hand, instantly feeling the coldness sweep up his arm.
"Yeah...I guess we can be friends. Or try at least. Keep in mind I'm still a little..." Grif trailed off, not quite sure how to finish the sentence...

"How true. I swear this place is getting more fucked up each day." He ejected, looking down at the blankets he started to pick at. When he looked up moments later, he was met with Church's ghostly eyes and jumped ever so slightly in suprise. Grif just sat and listened to what Church said, fighting the urge to cry.
And I won't tell him anything I saw in here... I know he doesn't know. Grif could hear the words echo in his head as he clenched his eyes and fists. There was so much he hadn't told anyone...and now Church knew. It hurt so bad, he just tried to push it away. Now it was all coming back and he didn't know if he could handle it.
Don't remind me... He thought, unconsciously sending this last thought to Church before they seperated, Don't remind me of the past...

He stands up again and feels another tug. That's getting really fucking annoying. He raises a hand to Grif and doesn't bother with niceties, jogging straight out the wall and cussing under his breath the whole way.
