Borrow A Cup o' Sugar?

With an earth-shaking WHUMP the Wartuma slams over the last of the hills near the Blue Base, and Sarge finds it quite unnecessary to step on the brake - as one of the walls of the concrete structure seems to do just fine. He skids, though, just in time, to have the side of the jeep smack into the base, as well as sending Lopez flying on yonder ( Read more... )

From his lookout point, Simmons spots what's going on.
...Hell, he thinks. I didn't think it would come this soon.

"Suck it, B... red!" Nearly there...

((Can't stay for now, just posting quick.))

*blinks, thinking he heard Simmons*

Gawd, I'm havin' flashbacks! Hold me, Lopez! *clings to his robo-buddy*

...Embarassment, el rojo si tan es blando en el corazón... *Lopez looks around for help that is not there while Sarge finds solace*

[peppercorns! this is funny for some reason!]

Sarge blinks, steps away from Lopez, and back outside the base, standing near the door. He squinted and looked around, and then jumped a good foot in the air when he saw Simmons - or... a blue dude with Simmons' voice.

Who-tha'... SIMMONS!?

Caboose noticed Lopez off by himself. And he was still standing still from the Hug that Sarge gave him. Caboose crouched down and Tackle hugged Lopez to the ground. His robot strength was impressive but Caboose still beat him. It was saying something in spanish... Caboose didn't speak spanish... the residue of O'Malley could translate bits of it but not enough for him to make any sense.

Forcing the weapon out of Lopez hand, and into his own, he moved off Lopez, leaving nothing to the imagination about what would happen if he attacked Caboose, or Church, or even Tucker. If Lopez tried to attack Tex he'd be dead.

Sarge heard a crash, and was torn between Simmons and Lopez - Lopez was closer, so he grit his teeth and turned around, bearing his shotgun and re-entering Blue Base.

What the - Lopez, what are you... ACK! BLUE MAN GROUP! *Sarge levelled his rifle at Caboose, not knowing what the hell just happened.*

Caboose kept his liberated shot gun pointed squarely at Lopez's head. Sarge liked his robot. But in his other hand he brought up a Blue Plasma Grenade. He loved their glowiness and kept them because he liked to use them as fireworks, and he had it aimed right at Sarge.

Aw snickerdoodles *Sarge thinks fast and tries to hold onto his sanity, especially with a grenade right in his face*

You sure you want to do that, son? I mean, I'm pretty sure we can work somethin' out here...

*Sarge was making discreet motions for Lopez to move behind him, hoping the Blue Man would resist the temptation to activate the grenade*

*Caboose wasn't very good with his shotgun, he'd never been good with them. So he threw it at Sarge, just as a distraction, ok he hoped it would knock him out but... anyway while Sarge was ducking Caboose pulled Lopez against his chest*

I just want to know why your here. And make sure you don't hurt Church, he's sleeping.

Sarge is conked in the head with the rifle, but managed to keep himself still, and a litle shock of terror ran through him as he watch Lopez get taken hostage.

Um, well, I was lookin' for Simmons in the first place, then it kinda turned into a plan to raid the Blue Base, but, uh, things apparently just got out of hand - aw hell. *he dropped the muzzle of his rifle away from Caboose*

Um, how about I just take Lopez back and get outta Dodge while I still can? Y'know, wouldn't want to wake your friend up *he stalled, wondering what the Blue was thinking*

Really! That'll work. Awesome my first command thing worked out well. Can I get you a coffee while you're here? I never really got to thank you for helping me during BattleCreek. Remember I'm the one who killed all the Reds...and Blues in that box canyon for you.

*Caboose released lopez and patted him on the back* Sorry Lopez.

Eso está absolutamente bien.*Lopez retreats to Sarge's side of the room*

Umm... okay. Yeah, sure. Oh, and I never thanked ya, either, did I. Quite a tight spot, huh?

Yeah.

Do you take sugar? Milk?

*handing Sarge his coffee he lapped back to the kitchenette to grab his own cup and a thermos. He sat down at the table and gestured for them to do the same, while flipping up his visor half way so he could sip his coffee.*

I saw your face earlier, back at breakfast time; you went through the early, umm unpleasantness between our sides really well, and you’re obviously a great soldier because you know.

Lopez here you go *hands over a thermos of Motor oil, usually kept on hand for Church*

Sarge blinked at that, and reluctantly pulled his helmet off to drink his coffee - it was really frickin' good coffee. Lopez proceeded to... 'drink'... his own beverage, disturbingly enough.

Yeah, well, a man's gotta adapt. Kinda takin' it bad that Simmons is gone. I miss him like a dead son, I do. I swear I saw him earlier. *sighs* Just wish he'd come back.

Well maybe he just needs time, like Church needed time to come back alive again. Or Tucker needed time to learn how not to have Tex knock him out for talking to her. Know what I mean. I'm sure that he misses you too, and if I see him, I'll tell him that you want him back.

*Caboose squeezed sarges hand for a second before returning to sipping his coffee*

He couldn't help but smile - the kid was sweet, but not innocent, he knew, if this Blue could get a hand up on Lopez. Then he suddenly realized he was sitting here, talking to a Blue, drinking his coffee, Lopez dazing out about Shiela, and...

... so what's yer name?
