Four Day Weekend

Progress on the dress is GREAT! I'm really happy with how much my Nana and I got done today.
Today, I have been the happiest I've ever been with myself when it comes to school. I'm so proud of myself with the progress I've made over the years... I swear I'm practically crying I'm so happy.
I love my teachers SO MUCH. They rock... I can't believe it sometimes.
My Global Studies teacher is going to talk to the head of the middle school, and talk about finding a company that would publish some of my writings. She also wants me to submit a paper I wrote into the Literary Magazine, and she also wants me to join the staff for the Upper School Literary Magazine [that has won awards, actually] next year.
My French teacher is trying to put together a French Exchange student program for my school so that we can actually meet our French penpals!! I'm really excited for that, and I seriously hope it works out. I would really like to meet him. ^^ Also might give me a chance to possibly go to France!
My Art teacher is trying to put together an anime activity for my school as well!!! I really hope that works out as well. Squee!
This is one of the most incredible things for me right now, though...
On Saturday I went to a baby shower that I seriously had not wanted to go to. I didn't even know the people; I had met them when I was about 3 or so.
Allison, the mother, is a young woman who works in New York as a fashion stylist. Her husband is a Polish photographer.
Well, my Papa was home from Texas that weekend, and he and Allison were talking about me a lot. I had been drawing for that whole time, and everyone at the baby shower was shocked at my skills.
Well, a few days later, when my Papa was back in Houston [where he is now], he and my Mom were talking on the phone.
I was minding my own business in my room, when my Mom knocked on the wall [my family's way of getting my attention, since my room is upstairs] to get me to leave my room.
She then told me that Allison said that when I was older, she would be interested in having me work an internship under her in New York.
Right now, I'm just... god, I don't think I could be any more thankful for what I'm being given right now. I really just don't know what to say. I think Life has decided to be kinder to me now; maybe it's starting to see how hard I'm trying. [Yes, I talk to life, not god] I really think that. Heavens seem to be opening up to me a little more... and I'm utterly thankful for that.
Truthfully, I don't really believe in God... but I do believe in a life force. So, that's what I consider to be my "god". I'm a pretty Budhist person, believe it or not.
Well, I'll talk to you guys later... I'm sorry that I had to spam your box with this, but I really needed to get this out of my system.

Four Day Weekend

Yes, you heard me right... I have a four day weekend starting tomorrow!! I'm so happy...
So, I will be making my Halloween costume this weekend, starting tomorrow! I'll definitely post pictures up when it's finished.
That's a big highlight for me right now. I'm not sure when I'll be back home from my grandparents; I'll be over there until the costume is finished. Might take the whole weekend [I hope not!].
I will be attending my school's open house with my friend, Teresa, on Sunday though. She's applied for my school for the following year and I felt it'd be best if I went with her. Best of luck to you, Teresa!!
For those who are wondering, my eye is back to normal and I can now wear eye make up and contacts again. ^.^ Yay~
