OMG!!! YOU ARE ALIVE!!! I’m so glad you posted something! I’m in total agreement with you-- no matter how heartbreaking the Isshin/Ryuuken/Masaki backstory is, NOTHING compares to just the little glimpse of SS and how that excites me. Oh god-Iba! And Granpa- Saijin… whaaaat??? So many new teases of things!
Oh, and that Kensei/ Shuuhei rumble coming on??!!? I can’t wait. Kensei simply hates Tousen. To Kensei, Tousen was the man who betrayed and killed his closest friends and fellow division members. He is nothing but a lying, cowardly shinigami. To Shuuhei, Tousen was a mentor and friend, and it seemed that Tousen really went out of his way to counsel and help appease Shuuhei of his inner demons and fears… and no matter what a traitor he was (or came to be), Shuuhei will not let it color Tousen’s memory. I think we’re going to see something that Tousen did to really help Shuu, some big sacrifice or something to validate Shuuhei’s respect and feelings for Tousen… or else I can’t see why he’s such a big presence in Shuuhei’s life.
and geez. i just wanna see Byakuya again too….. ;__;

I had never, never paid attention to Ryuuken before the recent backstory, and now I just feel so sorry for the poor man. I knew things had to be complicated between him and Isshin, but really?! Not something like that, it's too sad. D:
BUT YES, SS! IBA! GIANT TALKING WOLF BEING SASSY WITH SAJIN! KENSEI AND SHUUHEI! BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, IBA!
Shuuhei is unflinchingly loyal, that's for sure. He's been loyal to a memory for over a century, and now he's still loyal to the guy who stabbed him and kicked him off a building?! Jeez, I don't know whether to admire his resolve or think that he's just hopelessly naive and stupid. XD I've seen a lot of different people speculate the kind of relationship Shuuhei and Tousen really had, and I'd like to see that myself now that Shuuhei's still defending the guy after everything that happened. I'm kinda hoping Kensei beats some sense into him. And that Shuuhei fights back at full force. UNLEASH KAZESHINI! Shuuhei's so repressed and I want to see him go crazy. EMBRACE HIS STRENGTH.
Me too, I'm thinking (or hoping) that it'll be soon, and seeing as Renji accomplished everything with Zero Division, maybe he's gone back to help Byakuya recuperate?!
