I wasn't expecting SUDDEN BACKSTORY and oh my god. We never even got a chance to know Sasakibe, and when we finally do he's already dead and I had SO MANY FEELS that I cried and ruined all my makeup. THERE WERE LITERALLY TEARS. STREAMING DOWN MY FACE.
Yama-jii looked so heartbroken at the beginning of his chapter, and then Kubo suckerpunches us (again) with beautiful backstory. Young Yama-jii is a thug, and young Sasakibe is just fucking adorable. THAT POUT!! Oh god, I am shipping this two like burning and KUBO. PLEASE. STOP.
Here we finally see what Byakuya was telling Renji all those chapters ago. All the loyalty flying around between these captains and their vices. You can't tell me there isn't more going on behind the scenes!! (More things like hot filthy sex!)
Ugh, now thinking back to Sasakibe's death is more cruel than ever. :(
These Quincy need a fucking ass beating and I really hope Kubo doesn't drag this out too long. It's already hard enough to take, but seeing as this is the last arc and I've seen people speculate it could go on for ten years. . . Good grief. x_x
I'm hoping this at least means we'll get more backstory, and maybe that second TBtP we've all been dying for? (This chapter was so heart-wrenching I almost forgot about Grimmjow. Almost. ¬_¬
