School....yet again....ugh
So, today was my first day back at school. And one word sums it up, "yuck".
It's weird because I actually really enjoy school (yes, I'm one of those weirdos), but for some reason this semester I seem to have drawn the short straw.
I'm taking 2 online classes (Astronomy and Mythology) and both of them already have homework (and they only opened yesterday), and then I'm taking a History class (from 1866), an Art Appreciation class, and a dance class (beginning Jazz).
While I'm not going to let my work load from the 2 online classes scare me out of them, it disappointed me a little because those were classes I was hoping to be able to enjoy more than work my hiney off. Oh, and my Astronomy teacher has already crossed the 'weird' line way beyond what was necessary, so that should be.....fun.
And although I've never been a big history person (I hate names and dates...maybe I need Hermione there to help me, haha) I was excited to get a little more background about the U.S. in the late 19th and 20th centuries. BUT, after just one class I'm convinced that my teacher is not only a very slow talker, but also that she lacks a certain authority while up in front of the class that makes it EXTREMELY difficult to want to pay attention to her. Maybe it will get better.....
My Art class actually seems like it will be a lot of fun though. We have these cool weekly assignments that aren't hard, they just ask some creativity of us. My teacher in this class is really nice and cool but honestly, I got tired just watching her. She had SO much energy, I was a little scared. But hopefully that'll be a good thing considering it's right in the middle of the afternoon, which is when I normally want to doze off.
The best thing about today was dance. Although we didn't do any routines, we did do the warm up, and even though it pretty much killed me, it made me feel good to be exercising properly again. So yay for me!
Ok, I have definitely talked WAY too much about my boring school day. I just wanted to vent a little bit...and another post seemed in order since I am still navigating my way through this new adventure I call LiveJournal.
