back from boston
I'M BACK FROM BOSTON!
for those of you who didnt know, i spent the weekend there for my moms work conference.
so heres the complete recap of my rather boring trip.
and some pictures too.
okay so even i think this thing is too long and i have excercised my lj-cut rights.
SATURDAY
woke up. rushed to get ready. hopped into car with no idea where we were going.
we ended up in salem at the peabody essex museum where we saw all kinds of art and stuff. since i am a geek i was interested in all of those things. we also got to tour the Yin Yu Tang house which is a big chinese house that they brought over and rebuilt at the museum...anyways you guys dont care about that but i bumped into ted johnson (some football player who i dont know anything about but my dad recognized) there. like i literally bumped into him. i rarely watch where im going...
anyways we left the muesum and headed into boston. it was a long drive and i was soo happy when we finally got to the hotel.
we were staying at the copley place marriot (for those of you who care)
ive been there alot of times before but its always cool to me right when you walk in and everything is shiney and new. the hotel is really beautiful

after checking in we went up to our room and unpacked most of our stuff.

its even nicer at night but i couldnt get a good shot of it.
after unpacking we decided to go out and explore the hotel/mall.
the copley place hotel is attached to the big copley plaza mall. two other hotels are also attached to the mall and ive stayed in both but the marriot is the best one.

if you didnt notice this was actually two pictures but i cut and pasted and edited them together.
and heres the candy shop which taunted me with its expensive candy that i couldnt buy.
you can see the duck-tours were on the street ride outside the hotel.
anyways, we ate diner in the mall at chilis that night and shopped around for a little while before heading back to the room to go to sleep.
SUNDAY
we woke up at about 10 on sunday.
we decided to go out for a sunday brunch and ate at stephanies on newbury street which is a nice little brunch place. perfect for people watching when you eat out on the terrace. it amazes me what people you'll find just walking down the street.
when we went back to the hotel my mom had to go off to her conference.
my dad, my sister, and i needed something to do.
we decided to take the T out to the aquarium and see a 3D IMAX movie.
i love the subway. taking the T is really fun to me for some reason. again, like the people watching, i think it has to do with all the weird/funny kinds of people you see getting on and off.
anyways we saw the movie (it was about some safari thing but it was actually pretty cool)
then we went and hung out with the harbor seals outside the aquarium building for a bit.
then we took the T inbound back to copley and just hung around the hotel room for a while, taking advatage of the fact that our TV had HBO movie channel.
when my mom got back from her conferences we went out to diner
we got to go to legal seafoods which is one of my favorite resturants and one of the only places where i will eat seafood.
dinner was really really good.
when we left the resturant we past a few mall cart shop things and one of them had all these heckof cool mp3 players on it
i saw this awesome green one that i reeeeaaaalllly wanted (my mp3 players card is being disfunctional so i may need a new one)

my dad said that if i do some major painting of my back porch i might be able to get it *yay*
back to the complete coverage of the trip...
we went back to the hotel and decided to go swimming in the nice pool that they have.

anyways we swam for a bit then went back to the room
i took a shower and then went to bed.
MONDAY
woke up @ 9. mom had to leave for a conference really early so she was out the door when i got up.
me and my sister and father went out to breakfast by ourselves
we just went to au bon pain
then we deicded to go back to the aquarium and this time actually go into the building.
we saw my penguin minions of doom!..um *cough* i mean "buddies"...
i also bought a cool sign for my door which reads "beware of attack penguin"
yes i know. its rad.
then we went and saw another IMAX movie this time about sharks (who doesnt love a good shark movie)
we headed back for copley around 5-just in time for rush hour. how fun.
oh well we made it back alive.
when we got back to the room my mom had left us a bag of all the free stuff she got from her conferences. we played with all the toys and stuff until she got back.
then we went out to diner again. this time we had to walk a long ways to the park plaza to eat at P.F. Chang's. my sister of course complained about having to walk the whole time but oh well.
P.F. Chang's is probly one of the best chinese resturants ever.
i even got a ginormous chocolate cake for dessert.
mmmmmmmmmmmmm
by the time we got back to the hotel my sister was "ready to collapse" and "needed to go swim in the pool after all that torture" my mom and i left her and my dad and went of shopping for a while which angered my sister greatly because she wanted to go swim. and also because she was very overtired and need a nap.
when we got back we went swimming and she was happy.
i showerd and went to bed. again.
TUESDAY
we were checking out on tuesday so we had to be up early. we packed some of our stuff and then my mom went out to a few last conferences and my sister and father and i went for breakfast at starbucks.
we met up with her afterwords and we checked out of the hotel. we stored our luggage and payed extra for parking so we could stay in the building for a while longer. my mom kept on going to conferences (i think shes a workaholic) and we just wandered aimlesly around other parts of the mall we hadnt been to yet.
we finally left the hotel at about 4pm.
we decided to drive out to natick and shop out there.
we went to kohls (where i bought superman pajamas *happy face*)and other places and it was fun. i found out that i am a little too obsessed with buying shoes.
we then ate diner at some place in the mall which i dont care to remeber the name of right now. anyways after hanging around there til about 8:30 we headed for home.
