my semester is over, all exams finished. going into this semester, i thought i would do very well, having only 2 exams and one final paper (which was due 2 weeks ago). well, things were a little more crazy towards the end than expected. my first exam was on tuesday at 6:00pm. due to some scheduling mishap, i had to take the exam in Grand Rapids, which is an hour or so away. this is truly a complicated story that i will save for another time because i can't think clearly about too many things right now. anyway, i left for Grand Rapids early on Tuesday so i would have all day to study, which worked to my advantage. unfortunately, i did not get out of my exam until 9:00pm. i didn't get back into Lansing until 10:00ish. then i had to eat. by time i was able to study for my exam today, which was at 2:00pm, it was already 11:00pm, and because i had stayed up late the night before and woke up early, i was so exhausted and drained from the previous test to stay focused on the new material. luckily i had studied for this exam weeks before sporadically. so i stay up until 2:00 am reviewing. i couldn't sleep because my mind was busy analyzing things around the exam i had just taken. so i would get angry with my thoughts and tried to realign things in my head to analyze criminal proceedings. no such luck. i was lucky if i got 3 hours of sleep because i had to get up early to make sure i knew my stuff. last exam came and went. i'm not entirely sure how i did.
you would think i would be conked out by now with so little sleep. unfortunately, the stress of exams has this weird adrenaline rush after-effect on me. i'm wide awake. i have a bunch of things on my to-do list, but it's cold outside and that is the only obstacle to my new found energy.
so here is my schedule for the rest of the week in to the holiday season:
Thursday: Christmas shopping. i'm way behind. maybe clean my room.
Friday: more Christmas shopping. Christmas with Andrew.
Saturday: pack. Esperanza's birthday fiesta.
Sunday: Lion's game. is there a game night?
Monday: airport...Dallas by early evening
Dec. 19th-22nd: Christmas with my grandparents and miscellaneous relatives in Texas
Dec. 23rd-28th: Christmas in Atlanta with friends and family.
Dec. 29th: back to Michigan
