I want to move out of California. For sure out of Salinas and probably not back to San Diego. I do not want to live in San Jose or Santa Cruz, just more places to learn my way around and get tired of. I'm not a huge fan of Santa Cruz AT ALL, but this one part of San Jose looks just like University in North Park. 500 miles apart and they look exactly the same.
I've been spending too much time playing skate. on xbox. I'm not very good. I use the same approach that I use for every video game: mash all the buttons until I get the result I want. Mortal Kombat and other fighting games especially. Why this does not work: challenges with specific tricks that I can only do by mistake. I always get it eventually. Skate 2 in two weeks.
I bought a really exciting camera on ebay and arrived from Hong Kong on Tuesday maybe. It's painted up like a cat and meows (Holga k202). I went to Target today and totally forgot to buy film for it. I also put off ordering polaroid film on amazon to preorder a bunch of books and a certain special edition dvd and Neil Gaiman's YA books and...Dr Horrible's Sing a Long Blog. I am very excited.
I was only supposed to buy twelve books this year. This weekend I've bought five. I started The Book Thief yesterday and I'm caught between really wanting to read it and thinking it's not that interesting yet and maybe I should just read the new Wally Lamb instead.
