No, I havent fallen off the Earth..
Welcome me back to the live journal world. haha. man its been a long time. I just have had practically zero time to do anything but school, studying, work, training, and see Nathan of course. hehe. Hmm lets see. I dont even know where to start or whats happened since I last updated. Umm...
Well last weekend i had a wtlifting meet in jacksonville. and i finally had a good meet again. I went 5/6. and totaled 130. On snatch, i opened at 55 easily. then did 58. then went to 61, and i snatched it and stood up w/ it, but at the bottom of the snatch my elbows buckld and then i pressed it back out, and so it didnt count. boo. but then for clean and jerk i went 65, 69, 72. and hit them all. so i was extremely happy. there was some MAJOR competition at this meet, especially in my wt class. these girls were MONSTERS. like 1st place had a total of somethign around the 175 range. she snatched like 80 and cleaned 95. thats just unbelievable. And Cheryl Haworth was at the meet. She is the heavyweight who has represented the United States at the Olympic Games for lifting. she was just there to watch and hang out. i would have LOVED to see her lift. but anyways it was a really fun day.
OMG. ok so Wed night = unbelievable. Oviedo's Freshmen Football Team VS. the Lake Brantley Patriots. both teams are coming into the game undefeated. so whoever wins is the district champions. ok first quarter is scoreless. and then what ensued was one of the most stressful, emotional high school football games i have ever seen. Basically i'm gonna fast forward to the very beg. of the 4th quarter. the score is 17-7 w/ lake brantley winning. we are on the 2 yard line and in 4 plays cant make a touchdown. that was a major letdown. but then we got a safety. so its 17-9. Then the defense holds lake brantley. we get the ball and we somehow score a touchdown. its 17-15. we have to go for 2.(there is like 3 min left in the game at this point) and they barely miss the catch going into the inzone.NOOO. so then its brantley ball. somehow, no one in the stands knows how this kid got the ball, but we see an Oviedo guy breaking away from the pack w/ the ball. and he scores! man the crowd is going NUTS.and then oviedo got called for too much celebrating so we didnt get to go for an extra point, so its 17-21 oviedo and then its brantley ball. the defense holds for 2 plays. and theres like 1:45 left. and we are like all we gotta do is hold them and we will be fine. so then next play is like a hail mary towards about the 10 yard line. it looks like an oviedo guy is goign to intercept( he is in front of a brantley guy) and it bounces off the oviedo guys hand into brantleys guys hands and he falls to the ground and catches the ball for a complete pass. NOOOOO. so theres lke 137 left and they are in prime touchdown posittion. so tense in the crowd. everyone is standing just like OMG! so the first attempt defense holds them. 2nd one another hold. 58 left. then they go for a pass and Oviedo intercepts!!!!! like 35 left. and then that was pretty much it. started one play and then just let the clock run. first oviedo freshmen football team to go undefeated in oviedo history. OH and logan got a few tackles last night too, and even got a sac! it was hot. but man what an emotional rollercoaster of a game. if we had lost the game i would have been so upset. whew.
Tom is Friday, October 21. 5 months for nathan and I :) man its gone by like fast but also slow. umm so tom night logan and 5 of his friends are going to Halloween horror nights for his bday party. my parents are going to city walk while they wait for the boys. and i am home holding down the house. W/ nothing to do, but w/e i want! a free relaxed night. and i took off work on saturday because me and nathan were supposed to go down to Tampa for one of his aunts birthday party and he wnated me to meet his Posey clan. ( posey is his last name by the way) buttt w/ the hurricane i dont believe we are going. But we havent gotten a final word on that yet. However if we dont go, we are gonna go out for pizza lunch on sat. and then a hurricane partay Saturday night. Sooo my point in telling you that was that friday night i can just relax and do w/e i want because i dont have to worry about working on Saturday! ahh so nice. gotta love some down time. i'm gona make these peanutbutter choclate rice krispy treats, and they are gonna be YUMMY IN MY TUMMY. then ill prolly do some laundry, catch up on my magazine reading, maybe study a chapter of anatomy??, watch tv. sounds ambitious doesnt it? we'll see how much i actually get done. if i know me at all i'll prob just end up on the couch. lol.
I gotta work at publix tomorrow and it is gonna be SLAMMED. everyone coming out buying crap for the hurricane. its been coming for us for a few days now and the funny thing is that i havent really even thought abotu it. out of no where i'll be like oh yea...theres a freaking huge storm brewing out there getting ready to cut clear across the state. hmmm yeaaas. hopefully it wont be to bad but the thing looks huge. HOWEVER, i wouldnt mind ucf shutting the school down for Monday and possibly Tuesday. i have an anatomy test on Mon and it would be magical if it was pushed to wed. and i could just really go for a day off from school. w/ my luck all the schools will be closed but ucf. i guess we'll see. and hope for the best.
wEll its late and im sure this is long enough. and i gotta be up purty early tomorrow. dang those 730 classes. but hopefully it wont be too long till im back!!!
