Reaction Post for the last 3 episodes of SPN
THERE ARE NOT THE WORDS AVALIABLE IN MY VOCABULARY TO SUITABLY DESCRIBE MY REACTION TO WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING SO FAR.
Okay, maybe that was a little over the top but seriously? AWESOME. I'd reached a point where I was pleased that the show had gotten renewed but was concerned that things weren't going to be as engaging. If you catch my drift. But these last three episodes have been slowly rebuilding my faith in this season.
6.17 My Heart Will Go On.
An excellent premise with intriguing twists and turns that made me wonder what they had planned at the end. I liked the concept, was suitably unimpressed with Cas and his sneakiness but held out hope that there were justifiable reasons.
Was I the only one who LOVED 67 Ford Mustang? The Boyfriend was miffed at the lack of the Impala and sure I know the Metallicar is the quintessential Supernatural/Dean car but still! I LOVE MUSTANGS!
Anyway, I enjoyed it but also wondered what all this build up about souls and such like was leading too, as in not just what they were telling us.
6.18 Frontierland
The one liners. The sheer, unadulterated childish glee on Dean's face 90% of the time. The outfits. The idea of having the boys go back in time in a Back to the Future style plot. I loved the entire episode. I really can't say anything more on that front other that ADHJFGKL!?>?e@adsFGH!!!!!
6.19 Mommy Dearest
OH.MY.GAWD. That episode was fantastic. Sure there are little things that I'd like to nit-pick over but as a whole I was absolutely impressed by it. Dean and Sam suddenly seeming to be back into their comfortable balance between each other, where they don't just rely on each other, they feed off of each other. Its that constant checking and reassurance that they give each other through comments or shared looks that I love to see. So yeah, it was great to finally feel their dynamic back in some shape that I can say I recognise.
As for the rest of it? Well it was really shocking to have all these random threads of a story really starting to weave back together and creating, what could possibly be, an awesome ending to this season.
I really don't think we've seen the last of Eve and there are sooooo many other little questions and thoughts that they've been putting in our heads over this season which I'd like to see answered. But seriously... Cas what are you doing?! AND Crowley is back?!
