*Cue flailing of arms, screaming, running around and flashy lights* ONLY ONE MORE SHIFT LEFT! WHOOP!!
I only have one more close tonight and then I am off for 3... yes 3 whole days! THREE!! =D Ugh I am sooooooo thankful that I have tomorrow off as I am getting just a tiny bit sick and tired of cleaning up everyone elses rubbish at work!
Anyway so what has been happening in my world then? My oldest cousn Gary (28) and his gorgeous girlfriend Ali have announced that they are expecting their first little one together!
Now some people might frown and say hmm why haven't they got married but both of them have said before that with their past experiences of marriage and the fact that they have been together since univeristy so about 9 years there doesn't seem to them to be much point in wasting all that money. I can kinda see where they are coming from. But anyway that means I will become a second cousin! =D I'm soooo excited for them!
My friend Amy has finally accepted that it is more than likely that she will end up marrying her serious boyf of the last 3 years. Now Matt is wonderful, a really nice decent guy who I love like a brother and think is the right guy for her. Thing is though he has said that once they are married (maybe in two or three years time) he wants to move back to South Africa and Amy has said that she would think about it. So that would mean losing my best friend *sniffles*
She did point out though that my five year plan (yeah I know I have a five year plan) was to have achieved my teaching qualification, been an NQTS for one year (2 years gone of the plan) and then teach for 3 years before moving off to America. Now I had considered Australia or maybe New Zealand but I thought that I don't have any family out there what so ever whereas in America I do have some family and friends already out there.
I say that now but in five years time I'd also like to be in a serious relationship. So I had better start looking for Mr Appropriate <-- see no Mr Right haha!
Then there is this current whole thing with Ads. I should really explain that I have never actually met this guy in the flesh, we've spoken through match.com and hit it off. We've been texting now for about 3 weeks and have chatted online before that for a month. He's 26, lives about an hour away from me, is a qualified Electrician and labourer and seems lke a really nice and fun guy. We keep saying we should meet but then we never seem to be free on the same day which sucks but at the same time I'm worried that if I meet up with him things won't be as great *sigh*
So that brings me round onto the topic of match.com. No I'm one of these people that has no qualms about admitting that I have joined a site like that. Internet dating or dting websites do not cause me offence or make me feel awkward. There are no decent people in Ashford. That is a fact. Remember it. Plus all the people I have ever tried to start a relationship with have usually dated a friend of mine which only makes matter worse! So I decided after a long convo with several friends who have also been on the site and decided that there is no harm in meeting new people.
So yeah.... it's gone well so far. Met a couple of really nice guys who I've stayed friendly with and then some really weirdo people too!
