Fandom Year in Review - taken from all over the place.
I'm jumping on the bandwagon because everyone else is doing it and I wantto be one of the nerdy kids! c:
Fandom Year in Review:
Your main fandom of the year?
Supernatural with a healthy dose of Team X thrown in there and a sprinkling of House.
Your favourite film watched this year?
Oh gosh. This year? Has to be How To Train Your Dragon. That film was/is all kinds of awesome and I loved it! Especially when I didn’t think I would. Though Toy Story 3 was also pretty amazing.
Your favourite book read this year?
This year? Well I re-read several of Bill Bryson’s books and as always loved his Notes From a Small Island. I have a lot of admiration for the guy and his writing.
Your favourite album or song to listen to this year?
I love music so trying to pin-point just one album or song is hard. I’ve really fallen hard for a South African band called Civil Twilight and I’ve been loving me some Dierks Bentley, Adam Lambert (who I saw LIVE OMG!) and OneRepublic
Your favourite TV shows of the year?
Supernatural (obviously), House, Glee,
Your favourite LJ community of the year?
I can’t pick just one but I’ll pick the ones I’ve visited the most; team_x spn_reversebang j2_recs
Your best new TV discovery of the year?
Hellcats! OMFG that show is awesome! And Psych.
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Dexter. It’s just not doing it for me any longer which is a shame.
Your TV boyfriend of the year?
Oh gods, really? Dean Winchester would be probably be my first choice as an epic TV boyfriend, if somewhat of Tom Cat; known for wandering, taking on new women, fighting and causing grief.
Your TV girlfriend of the year?
Thirteen on House. That girl is all kinds of hot!
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
IDEK! Umm there are too many I guess. I’m more of a perpetual squee-er.
The most missed of your old fandoms?
QAF USA - I miss this fandom so bad but hopefully once I have the boxset for xmas I’ll get back into it and feel reunited with my lost love. OH and the Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who and Rose. It just isn’t the same without them and that is why I don’t watch anymore.
The TV you haven't tried yet, but want to?
Misfits and Chuck. I’ve heard good things about both and I’m curious to see what they are like!
Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?
Oh gosh? Umm the UK SPN fan girl meet-up in early January 2011, the second half of Season 6 of Supernatural. Season 7 of House. The Avengers Movie where I hope to hell they don’t ruin EVERYTHING! I’ve got a list of post-apocalyptic movies that are coming out in 2011 that i REALLY want to see so that’s pretty high up on my fan anticipations list.
