Fantastic Time!!
I just had this nice long, detailed entry written out and I accidentally clicked out of the window, whoops.
Band camp was a lot more relaxed, a lot different, a lot less disciplined, a lot hotter than I remember from high school. The guard is huge- 22 people. It's great working with that many girls and 1 guy, who love what they're doing and want to be there. It makes a big difference in the performance of the guard I think. I ended up making the rifle line for the first show. I auditioned last Sunday night and thought I had an awful performance, but I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought.
It's been a lot of fun hanging out with the band kids and goofing off at night after practice finished. A few of us decided to make our trip to Harris Teeter on Sunday nights a weekly event, so that'll be fun! Been spending a lot of time with Matt S after practice and during our break times. I've finally found someone who is just as big a sarcastic, smart-ass as myself!! It's been great getting to see all of my PLP friends. I definitely missed them the last 6 weeks.
Classes start Monday. This past week has made it pretty easy to forget that I actually will have classes to study for and things to do!!
Other than that life is good at the moment. Taylor went home for the night to do laundry and get the rest of her stuff to bring down, so I have the room to myself tonite. I'm looking forward to quiet time. I've had a couple hours of it tonight and it's let me think about some things. In a way that's good and in a way that's bad. The next few weeks should be interesting. Maybe I'll divulge more about that later and maybe I won't... For now, be content with the fact that I miss everybody and love everybody!!
