some good stories from the BOM performance

I went to see the Barrel of Monkeys performance last week (Celebration of Authors 2008). It was kinda the best thing i have seen in months and it made me so happy.

Basically BOM works w/some Chicago students - the students write stories and the BOM squad interprets them on stage in a fun and interesting way - sometimes musically. it was so much fun to watch and many of the 'authors' were in the audience and before their story was performed they would call out the student's name and they would stand up and the entire audience would cheer. The Athenaeum was jam packed and it was very cool to see such a large audience cheering for the young writers.

anyway - here are two of my favorite stories:

Untitled
by Paige Olajide, 5th Grade, Loyola Park

Once upon a time there were three guys named Hogan, Liam and Martice. The three guys were looking for love. Hogan was looking for good looking girls that like some of the stuff that he likes. Then the three guys met three girls named Jennie, Margaret and Amber. They all got together for brunch.
