“You can’t quit school.” Rowan ordered as she watched Kestrel dress. Jade was standing beside her to provide a united front.
“And how are the bills going to be paid?” Kestrel asked, pulling a shirt on over her head.
“We can ask Ash for-”
“He’s at war, Jade. He doesn’t have time to take care of us.” Kestrel continued, pulling her boots on before heading downstairs. Her sisters followed.
“Let me handle this,” she told them at the door. Rowan had to agree.
Kestrel went to work.
