Hallowe'en Gala at the Manor
I had every intention of coming back to update my journal about the Hallowe'en Gala but other circumstances permitted me from doing so yesternight. I was? Dear Merlin, I had no idea I was so lucky as to have a dragon trainer in attendance that evening. Whom was it? How did you learn of this? I don't recall seeing you at the Gala as I would have certainly remembered such a pleasant surprise.

The dragon-tamer in question was Charlie Weasley. He was with me, and we were in costume, which is most likely why you don't remember seeing us.
At any rate, it was a very eventful gathering, as one can always expect at Malfoy Manor.

I have instructed all of the elves to tiptoe about the Manor while you are recuperating. I have ordered several potions from Severus that will help you recover, and several new pairs of shoes from Kenneth Troll.
If you need me, I shall be in my chambers, awaiting the plastic surgeon's verdict on the damage Black inflicted to my face.
