I spend a lovely Wednesday evening at Dogear Wryde with Remus and his other houseguests. When I had departed the Manor to make my way there, I knew that Mr. Finnigan would be present but I had absolutely no idea that two of the Weasley children would be there as well. Thank Eleos that neither happened to be the young and volatile Ronald. Merlin knows what I would have done! I am a lady and always take great pains to be polite in even the most awkward of social situations. However, I fear I would have truly been put to the test had he been in attendance. The poor, deranged thing simply sputters about much like a frothing jarvey.

Miss Weasley and Mr. Charlie (one would think he would have abandoned such a childish name years ago for Charles but that is neither here nor there) Weasley were exceedingly polite, although I do think that Miss Weasley was a bit colder than her brother. Perhaps she was preoccupied; I really could not say for certain. Mr. Finnigan spent a great deal of time off with Rosie early in the evening but somehow Remus managed to convince the boy to join the rest of the party. Although I was refused the vodka I had requested, I must say that I had a fine time indeed. Mr. Weasley and Mr. Finnigan seemed to have gotten on well and I was quite taken by the way the dragon trainer hit all of those little shiny spheres with a thin length of wood into such tiny holes! I was told that it was some sort of Muggle game known as billyherds and I am fascinated. I want to know more about billyherds and another leisure activity that Mr. Weasley refered to as 'air hooky'.

Although I did appreciate Remus's hospitality, I am afraid that I had to retire earlier than I would have liked. The food we had partaken in was supreme but I daresay my nausea from the morning had returned.

Thursday evening Miss Bulstrode was to come for tea. Regretfully, I had been taken ill most of the day and had remained in my chambers until Friday morn. I have not seen very much of Draco the past few days because I have not had the energy to really leave the comfort of my bed. I do hope that the children had a lovely time; I know that Weetzie was concerned about the possibility of company while she is still trying to orient herself about the Manor. I sent word to Draco via Weetzie to convey my apologies to Miss Bulstrode in the event that she would visit and I would miss her call.

I shall have to venture out of my chambers soon as one of the portraits in my room just told me the most awful thing. Apparently a number of the portraits down in the reception room on the ground floor have all leapt into that darling portrait of my Little Dragon from whence he was perhaps seven or eight and have portrait-knapped him! Mademoiselle Gigi Dubois is ever so upset and is currently cowering in the corner of her frame. I am at such a loss of what to do!

I must see if I can rescue my darling son's portrait posthaste

Remus - Should you like me to take Rosie for a few days? I am quite sure Echo would appreciate the company. Do let me know.
