Well, when you've got it - you've got it!
QAL won Best Stage Show 2005 at Excalibur's Golden Ogre Awards this year.
*applauds wildly*
Thank you - Thank you. Yes, we got statues and everything.
I'm convinced we beat out TheWorldFamous WHIPBOY due to an unfair Baby Shark advantage. Seriously - I thought people were going to riot one evening when we sang Aloha at the pub sing instead. It was so popular, they did a parody of it at the Awards ceremony called Baby Elf. ...funniest thing I have ever seen!
Opening weekend was good. Weather was fab. Couldn't figure out why people were nervous until I realized we'd already done an entire 4-week run this spring. Yeah. Same show, different costume. Guess my opening day jitters happened about a month ago. (Do I still get those? I know the muppet does.)
That was the Faire update, let's move on to friends. If we delve deep into Summer's psyche...wait. Is that even possible??? Ok, if we delve deep into MY psyche (A dangerous pastime I know) we will discover that part of the reason I'm so territorial about my friends (family is a given) is because when they are unhappy it makes me crazymadsad unhappy, too. And being of a fix-it type nature, as subtle as Joan Rivers' fashion choices, and convinced that almost anything can be changed by the sheer brute force of my will...I may sometimes come across as overbearing or aggressive.
*pauses for collective gasp*
Yes, I know, it's hard for me to understand as well. Which means, contrary to popular belief, when a situation I have railed against falls apart, I in fact do not want to go stomp the other party involved, I just want to go pick up my friend and give them lots of hugs and love loan them my two feet until they can stand back on their own.
So, for the record (my little lurker) - I am not on a rampage, I hurt for everyone involved.
And that's all I have to say about that.
