I love umbrellas too. Although I definitely use them when it's raining!
When I moved in to my apartment I hated that the light in my kitchen was so so bright but when it was off you couldn't see a damn thing. So I bought 2 strings of lights from Target- they're opaque spheres, about the size of a small christmas tree ornament. One string I put up around the big window in the kitchen and the other string I ran around the edge under my cabinets. They are perfect for lighting up the kitchen just enough.
I do! haha. I have to plug in my tv and dvd player, my home phone and cell phone charger, my laptop charger, my iPod speakers, a neon bar-light type thing, a table lamp..I have too much stuff.
